Michelle graduated with her BFA in Graphic Design and a Minor in Business Administration from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa in May 2010. Michelle grew up on the Valley Isle of Maui and came to Honolulu in 2005 to pursue her degree. Michelle has taken numerous architecture and business courses in addition to her art classes. Michelle's work can be characterized as
Methodicalbut not formulaic. Michelle's work is about the process. She believes development and evolution of an idea is just as important as the finished piece. Complexbut not impervious. Michelle's work is meaningful. Every choice in color, image, or form is carefully selected to represent an intended meaning or to serve a specific function. Diversebut not inept. Michelle is capable of working in a variety of media, in print or with web, manually or digitally, and spatially or 2-dimensionally. |
